Home Watch
The Grove is officially part of the nationally approved Home Watch scheme.
We joined many years ago.
You’ve probably seen the HomeWatch signs at the end of the Grove.
We have our own email system for sharing information. It’s just for us in the Grove and it’s rarely used. It’s just for sharing any relevant HomeWatch information.
If you want to join, just pop your details in here and it will add you to our email list.
There’ll be no spamming. And no selling of email addresses. I promise!
Most info, however, is shared in the WhatsApp Group (see below).
The Spreadsheet
Each resident also has a spreadsheet with a phone number for everyone in the Grove.
Why?
It’s so that if there’s an emergency such as your intruder alarm ringing, someone can contact you.
If you would like to be included on it, it’s easy. Just pop your details over to David at number 16.
I’ll add your name and phone number to the spreadsheet and distribute it to the residents in the Grove.
WhatsApp is an amazing free app that allows us to keep in touch too.
It’s great if there’s something important to share with the whole Grove quickly.
We began the WhatsApp group for the HomeWatch.
But it quickly turned into a social group.
Fancy meeting up for a brew on a nice dry day with the neighbours? The WhatsApp group is perfect for that.
And it still maintains its primary use for sharing important HomeWatch news.
